Week before MAC released their Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour, I was ecstatic! Too excited to try it out! I’ve watched and read reviews that made me much eager to have it A-S-A-P! I was shipping for Lady Be Good, Feels So Grand and Quite The Standout. I wanted to love Mademoiselle, Back In Vogue and Rich And Restless too but these shades didn’t work for me either. So to cut my experience short, NOTHING looked good on me and I was completely unhappy. Okay let me change that, Feels So Good and Quite The Standout are red shades so it suits me (they suit any complexion) but what I don’t like is the product’s texture. You have to be meticulous when you put it on ‘cos it has the tendency to transfer to your teeth. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I find it really really tacky.
So moving forward, I went over Happy Skin and found new products that made my day better. Laugh Always and The Morning After Lip and Cheek Mousse are totally amazing! It has a thicker formula than the crayon form so it settles into lip lines perfectly making my lips look full and healthy.
Lip and cheek products can be tricky ‘cos many of them dry instantly, leaving little time to blend before it sets. I am happy to say that’s not the case with Happy Skin’s Lip and Cheek Mousse! These products are packaged in a tube similar to a lip gloss with a sponge-tip wand applicator. The formula is incredibly easy to work with. It has a liqui-cream texture that will make it easy for you to apply. Take it from me, a dot on both your cheeks can take you a long way just smooth them across your apples then you’re left with a beautiful natural-looking flush that lasts all day.
I’ve received compliments when I wear these beautiful colors – women have asked me what I’m wearing and I’m more than happy to tell them Happy Skin!
If your new year’s resolution was to take it easy on food then you are in the wrong room. Like you, I’ve been promising myself to lose weight, visit the gym, do boxing, yoga, etc… etc… but for me, life is really about food 🙂 It brings happiness and fulfillment so no one can ever take that away! 🙂
It was a fun-filled Saturday with friends! I went to Pampanga to visit Paolo and Kuya Arjay. Did errands around Clark then finally was able to stop at Cioccolo to have merienda before I head back to Manila.
Pao introduced this place back in 2012. Cioccolo is a secret hideaway in Angeles City where you can relax and have good food.
This is not your typical Braso de Mercedez. It’s the most delicious Braso in the universe! Yes! Ganun ka-OA! Well-balanced sweetness, very fluffy and rich! It has one of the smoothest textures ever. When I get back, I’ll buy an entire cake!
Contrary to its dark and decadent appearance, this Ferrero Cake is light and bittersweet. This treat definitely is for chocolate lovers out there! It’s nearly impossible to finish it on your own, so it’s best for sharing.
Ah, Red Velvet! Who wouldn’t love this beautiful but sinful treat?! The cream cheese frosting is like a little piece of heaven. One look at it and you know you’ll get back for more!
So if you’re around Pampanga, don’t forget to stop by Cioccolo. They never disappoint!
Thanks sa treat, Pao!

After getting out of college, it seems like I’m not as comfortable as before wearing heels for a loooooooong period of time. I commute everyday to work so it’s very very important for me to have comfortable footwear. The first time I visited Yosi Samra, I can still recall how crazy I was because they have a lot of gorgeous designs to choose from when I could only afford one!
I got these metallic perforated flats ‘cos it’s really pretty and it’s the first one that got my attention. The best thing about YS is their shoes has a slip resistant split rubber sole, so it folds in half to fit nicely in a handbag. Also, it has a cow suede mid-sole that’s durable for all-day wear.
I strongly recommend these flats when you’re looking for something that’s comfortable but stylish at the same time!
My love for lipsticks in neutral shades continues! I met this new product yesterday, Colourette’s Sahara lippie and it definitely is a treasure. A beautiful creamy matte warm color that’s not too brown and not too peachy.
So there you go! Next purchase would probably be Dakota!

4 years ago, I decided to pack my bags and leave ‘cos my dream company rejected me and I felt nothing but hopelessness.
So let me share a few of what I’ve learned during my first ever solo travel.
As expected, it was a fantastic & nerve-wracking experience! At first I thought it was scary, but hey, leaving my comfort zone made me discover new things about myself- How strong, independent and strategic I am.
This solo travel changed my perspective in life. I was able to figure out things on my own, met new people and explored the other side of myself. I distinctly remember a bus driver hollered at me on my first day which I was able to handle with grace! haha! Too long to elaborate though! When I was looking for internet connection, an old Filipina helped me. She brought me to her beautiful apartment and she let me use her laptop. It’s frustrating I’ve forgotten her name! She’s an inspiration. Working at the age of 60ish and filling in a huge balikbayan box that she’ll send to Manila is just strikingly wonderful.
Day 1 was looking for the perfect boots, eating and roving over TST and wandering around Kowloon. Spent my entire day 2 in Disneyland then day 3 was just roaming around central, riding the tramp, reading Chinese newspapers (LOL) and taking pictures of myself! The word selfie hasn’t existed yet!
It’s also pleasant getting lost. Enjoying and embracing the time you have alone not knowing where your feet will lead you. Once you start scrutinizing each and every curve then you will realize traveling alone is the best thing that can ever happen to you.
So… What are you waiting for? (insert music cue: Love Me Like You Do lol)
Hello! My name is Kat and I’m a frustrated food blogger. 21 years ago I remember being asked on a TV interview “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and my answer? To be a restaurateur. Laging related sa pagkain talaga! So there’s really nothing else on my mind but food. Sorry boys. LMAO.
Introducing My Top 20 Most Mouthwatering Moments in 2015! (In no particular order)
From Korea to Manila! The ice cream itself is ordinary so I find it pricey. However, the macaron and almonds made it special. And of course, their claim that it’s organic made it quite unique too.
This is huge and yummy! Php285 is a good treat for me. Patty is delicious and goes well with their sriracha ketchup. That’s a parmesan crisp on top of the cheese, I didn’t like it that much. Though it didn’t make it less of how delicious it is. #opinyonkolamang oh! and you guys should also try their Pizzookie. The best dessert you can have ever! lol
It’s gorgeous and heavenly! Though Pancake House’s waffle will always be my number 1, Yardstick’s is probably my 2nd! Anyway, whichever fruit is seasonal goes with this combo 🙂
I always enjoy their food. I love their Margherita and Sausage pizza. Peroyung the best talaga e yung Salted Egg Pasta! OMG! Our entire family loves it! Love their Burrata with House Salad too! So much love for Gino’s! lol
They say Cafe by the Ruins is the best restaurant in Baguio City so I gave it a shot and ordered my favorite, Bacon! Well to be honest I was expecting more because of their price. There isn’t really something special since choices are the ones you can easily pull off at home, except of course that their ingredients are fresh and organic. But nevertheless, it was an awesome experience and food is good, bacon is huge!
I seriously don’t know what it’s called. When I visit Mak Chang, I always have my previous boss with me and she’s in-charge of ordering lol We get this bacon and pork belly (not in photo) type every time. Once food arrives, the waiter will grill it for you. Of course, you wrap the meat with lettuce and put in whatever delicious sauce they have then you eat it. Pero ako, nagoorder ako ng rice! hehehe! Usually, she pays around 1500 for the both of us 🙂 Super sarap dito!
Chicken pieces are huge, tender and flavorful. I also enjoy their Sweet Potato Waffle. Kai loves their Dirty Rice! It has bacon, chicken liver and bonito flakes. And… Expect a line! There’s always a well-deserved wait for these chickens.
Cafe Shibuya has a happy ambiance which I absolutely appreciate. I’m definitely in love with their toasts! I’ve tried their Honey Lemongrass Chops too but I didn’t like it. I highly recommend their desserts!
Yes, it’s Php375 and it’s worth it! It really is freakin’ delicious! It made me savor every bite. The fries… It’s kinda impossible to stop eating them.
Friends brought me here and I had an amazing experience! They have delectable dishes and I truly enjoyed every bite! It’s my first time to try a legit Middle Eastern restaurant and I can’t wait to go back!
I’m not a Ramen person but this is something I couldn’t resist! It’s a huge bowl but I was able to finish it alone. It tastes special and looks so precious! It’s the epitome of delicious.
This enticing crepe cake is the bomb! It’s soft and heavenly. The place gave me all the cozy feels! Such a relaxing place to hangout with friends and family.
I love Wingstop! I find their chicken wings really delicious and flavorful. Louisiana Rub and Hickory Smoked BBQ are my personal favorites. However, they are overpriced and wings are really tiny. Masarap pero hindi sulit 🙂
Although a bit on the pricey side, Maple’s Prime Rib Tapa totally hit the spot! This has been a favorite for quite some time already and I recommend it to all carnivores out there!
This dish is fantastic! Affordable without sacrificing the taste. Steak goes with 2 sides. I had smashed potato and garden grains. (Kamusta naman ang carbs??)
If you are craving for Shawarma, then this is your place. Persian Avenue has the best Shawarma in town! It’s rich, meaty and really flavorful! Like, unbelievably good.
I never thought Isaw can even be more delicious than how it is already! Guys, this is the best in the world.
I was curious as most of the food bloggers and friends I follow on Instagram have tried their famous Latin Chicken. E Kaya naman pala! Masarap kasi!
Introducing my favorite Beef Kimchi Rice! Meat quality is tender and flavorful. If you’re a big eater like me, then you better try Sizzlin’ Steak. They have breathtaking selections of yummy sizzlin’ meals at an everyday affordable price!
You’d totally fall for this classic no-frills burger. Their Sriracha Chicken Wings are highly addictive! Just be forewarned, the place is small so you better come in maybe a bit early if you’re going for lunch or dinner 🙂
So much more to add! Like Mary Grace’s Carbonara, House of Minis’ Porterhouse Steak, Casa Verde’s Brian’s Ribs, Mr. Rockefeller’s Grandma’s Steak Recipe! Butsuper dami na! Dapat ata Top 50 e!Sarap kumain guys! Looking forward to more food trips this year!Baka may gustong sumama diyan?
